Experts Find Bacteria Trigger Body Odor

Deodorants are usually only able to survive a few hours when it is used. However, experts now recognize the smell of the main triggers. A new study shows exactly bacterial gene that plays a key role on the incidence of the bad smell of the body. The researchers also revealed that these findings could lead to new ways to control body odor problem.

Body odor arises when the bacteria in the skin break down molecules in sweat. In this new study, the researchers found the bacteria Staphylococcus hominis DNA in producing proteins that break down molecules of sweat.

This protein is responsible for the break sweat molecules into compounds that contribute greatly to the body odor. This compound is sharp and in small quantities, which is about one part per trillion. According to this study, one of the genes in Staphylococcus hominis was also found in two species of staph bacteria associated odor.
